Bicycle store in Beijing

If you’re new in town and are an enthusiastic cyclist – this is a post for you..!

When I first arrive to Beijing I didn’t have bicycle and it was very frustrating for me – because back home I used to commute with bicycle so it was kinda like a car to me.
You can imagine that here in China it will be super easy to get a pair of good bicycle, but that’s not exactly the case.
If you don’t speak Chinese – you won’t know how to ask the relevant questions and if you’ll need something – you will not know how to for ask it.
The store in subject here sells high-end carbon fiber bike as well as fixies and plain regular street / off road bicycle.

After arriving I’ve done some online research and stumbled upon a very cool small shop that’s called Serk.
Serk is owned by a nice and cool couple which will be happy to answer questions and help you find something that’ll fit your needs and wants.
They sell a variety of bicycle in the shop, and they also sell a cool small brand that’s called SWIFT carbon – which are excellent!
They also sell a big variety of accessories – and if there is something you need but they don’t have, they will try arranging it for you.
They also arrange trips in and around Beijing for all levels of cyclists!

If you’re in town – you can go check it out for yourself:)

Here is their website.

I have been living in China since early 2013 in the great Beijing. I try to travel as much as I can and try to understand the culture and the habits as much as possible. It's amazing how much can be learned about China, and about life, while living abroad in a totally different country than the one you grew up in. I love it! Catch up on my blog to try and understand along with me:) Adam.
