Emergency contact – cycling

Are you riding a bicycle? Are you running long distance? I have a tip for you.

Think about the following scenario – you are riding / running on a nice Saturday, out on the road, a few dozen kilometers from home, and all of a sudden you are falling from the bike.
You lost control, a car hit you or an animal dashed into the road and because of the fall you find yourself unconscious.
Someone finds you and calls an ambulance, you get to the hospital – but now there’s a problem – if you don’t ride with ID (like a lot of people) – how can they know who you are? what’s your blood type or who to call?

There’s something that’s called Road ID ™ and I think this is a perfect ID for sport.
It’s a bracelet with a badge on it, and that badge contains some personal details such as your name, blood type, emergency contact number, address etc – it’s up to you what to write there.
I use the slim one, and keep in on me all the time, so I won’t forget to put it before I go out.
Luckily I didn’t need it yet, but I think it’s important to have one.
Here’s the company website – you can take a look, read about it a little – they have quite a nice selection and they ship worldwide.

**I have nothing to gain from this financially – no relation to the company what so ever besides buying there myself**

I have been living in China since early 2013 in the great Beijing. I try to travel as much as I can and try to understand the culture and the habits as much as possible. It's amazing how much can be learned about China, and about life, while living abroad in a totally different country than the one you grew up in. I love it! Catch up on my blog to try and understand along with me:) Adam.
